A private veranda makes a different kind of Japan cruise possible: quiet mornings outside, changing coastlines in view, and somewhere to linger between ports. Our first Japan Deal of the Month looks at Mitsui Ocean Cruises’ spring 2027 promotion, which offers a Veranda Suite at an Oceanview-level promotional fare on five departures through Japan and Korea.
The appeal is the suite itself, rather than an extra onboard credit or a bundle of optional purchases. Mitsui’s offer flyer describes Veranda Suites with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, a private veranda, a living area, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a separate tub and shower.
Mitsui markets the promotion as a free upgrade from an Oceanview Suite to a Veranda Suite. The important detail is in the terms: the promotional fare is already reflected in the advertised Veranda Suite price. Travelers should book the eligible Veranda Suite at the promotional fare, rather than assume that any Oceanview booking will receive an automatic upgrade later. There is no additional complimentary upgrade beyond the Veranda category booked.
The offer is for new bookings only and is limited to promotional inventory on the eligible sailings. Once that inventory is allocated, the offer ends for that sailing regardless of the booking date. It cannot be combined with another promotional fare, discount, or special offer unless Mitsui expressly permits it. It has no cash value, is non-transferable, and is subject to Mitsui’s booking conditions. The line may change or withdraw it without notice.
For travelers already considering Japan in spring, moving into a veranda category is a benefit that shapes each day aboard. The two six-night departures offer a shorter trip; the twelve-night Northern Japan sailing gives the itinerary more room. Choose for the route and time available, not a promise of blossoms: flowering dates depend on the weather and are not guaranteed.
Before booking, ask Mitsui or your travel advisor to confirm the promotional Veranda inventory, the final fare and its occupancy basis, and the cancellation terms for your chosen departure. This feature does not quote a fare or promise a fixed booking deadline.
