Explore Underwater Caves: Lucayan National Park

The 40-acre park nestled amid swaying palms and mangroves on Grand Bahama Island is home to the iconic Gold Rock Beach. This is one of the only places on earth where you can observe the stunning contrast of the deep blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean on one side to the turquoise waters of the Blight of Eleuthera on the other. Separated merely by a strip of rock only 30 feet wide, the “Bridge” offers phenomenal views. This is an excellent place for hiking, relaxing at the beach or grabbing local island libations at the El Karkara Glass Window Bar & Grill.

Exumas, the chain of over 365 small islands, is home to more than sparkling sand beaches. It is also home to the infamous swimming pigs. While there are a few theories on how the pigs got to the island; either left by a group of sailors or they swam over from a shipwreck, one thing is for sure, these pigs are enjoying island life to the full extent.
