2014-2015 expedition cruises to Antarctica give passengers an intimate look on the Seabourn Quest
From Antarctica’s singular landscapes and abundant wildlife to the rugged grandeur of Patagonia, guests will explore these regions up close. Highlights include a complimentary Zodiac landing each day to selected Antarctic locations, digital photography coaching, myriad opportunities for wildlife sightings from the ship and on the shore, and guidance and insight from a skilled expedition staff. The cruises will also host special guest speakers as part of the line’s Seabourn Conversations enrichment and entertainment program.
Handpicked and led by Seabourn Expedition Program Manager and Leader Robin West, the expedition team consists of naturalists, scientists, cultural and historical experts, and other lecturers who will share their wealth of knowledge and passion for Antarctica. Award-winning nature photographers will offer coaching tips on digital photography for guests to capture the diverse wildlife and remarkable landscapes. From distant sightings on-board to landings ashore, the staff will add valuable insights to the adventure.
Beginning November 29, 2014, Seabourn Quest will sail on a series of four 21- to 24-day voyages between Valparaíso, (Santiago) Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Each includes days exploring the Chilean coast and fjords, Beagle Channel, Glacier Alley, the breathtaking Torres del Paine National Park,the Falkland/Malvinas Islands, Montevideo, and 6 days of cruising and landings on the Antarctic Continent in uncompromised Seabourn luxury.
A 24-day Holiday version, departing December 20, 2014, will include 2 days exploring the sub-Antarctic wildlife Eden of South Georgia, renowned for its beauty and its vast, teeming rookeries of king penguins and other seabirds, as well as breeding elephant and fur seals.
