More cruise lines planning to visit than ever before

South Africa is looking to be an extremely popular cruise destination next year, with more international cruise lines visiting the country’s ports than ever before.

In 2015, cruise lines visiting South Africa include: Cunard Line, Seabourn, Crystal Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Holland America Line, Silversea Cruises, MSC Cruises, and Costa Cruises.

The country’s most popular ports include Cape Town, Durban, Richards Bay, Port Elizabeth, and East London. With the growth in demand for South Africa cruise calls, Cape Town is investing in the construction of a new dedicated cruise terminal that will feature arrival and departure facilities and be located closer to tourist attractions.

In addition, ports such as Maputo, Richards Bay, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town offer excellent opportunities for African safaris, contributing to the increased interest from cruisers.

There are also opportunities for river cruising in South Africa, with lines such as AmaWaterways, which will continue to offer Africa Safari & Wildlife Cruises in 2015.
