Luxury cruise line waives its single supplement
Compagnie du Ponant, the French luxury expedition cruise line, said it will not charge solo travelers extra on sailings in the 2014-2015 season. Ponant also said that passengers do not have to book early to qualify for the solo fares.
The single supplement, a fee charged by many cruise lines to cover the cost of an absent guest in a double-occupancy cabin, will be waived by the cruise line on 30 sailings. Itineraries on which the supplement is waived includes the 7-day Pearls of the Adriatic Cruise and the 16-day Indonesian archipelago voyage.
