Repairs are required after a fire aboard the ship

Oceania Cruises has canceled part of Insignia‘s 180-day world cruise, due to ship repairs following a fire onboard the ship.

The first three legs of the voyage have been canceled, and the modified cruise will now depart March 22 from Singapore (it was originally scheduled to depart from Miami on January 10).

Guests on the world cruise can choose to continue with the sailing and receive a full refund for the canceled cruise days, along with an additional 25% of the refunded amount in the form of a future cruise credit. Or, customers can opt for a full refund and a 25% future cruise credit associated with the pro-rata cruise fare on the three canceled segments.

For guests continuing with their cruise, Oceania will provide complimentary business-class airfare to Singapore and a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay.
