New Europe River Cruise Line Debuts In April

Emerald Waterways launches its first ship

The first European cruise line to begin service in more than six years, Emerald Waterways will launch its first ship on April 15. The 182-passenger Emerald Sky will make a 12-day sail from Basel to Amsterdam, followed in early May by sister ship Emerald Star.

The fare for the Emerald Sky 12-day sail starts at $3,533 per person, and includes all onboard meals, some shore meals, port charges, gratuities, airport transfers, and unlimited tea, coffee, wine, beer, and soft drinks with wine and dinner. Fares also include continental breakfast, onboard Wi-Fi, and at least one shore excursion a day.

Other onboard amenities include a heated pools with a retractable cover (which transforms into movie theater at night), massage therapy room, a fitness area, al fresco dining, and a sundeck for reading, lounging, or just unwinding in the sun.
