“Vertigo” star comes aboard for July’s Transatlantic Crossing
“I am overjoyed to sail with Queen Mary 2 in July,” said Novak. “I have sailed to Europe in the past and fondly remember the Transatlantic Crossing as a glamorous way to travel. I am excited to have this chance to relive history aboard such a magnificent ship, and I look forward to meeting my fans along the way.”
Novak’s program will include a screening in the Royal Court Theatre of two of her classic films – “Vertigo” and “Bell, Book and Candle” – followed by a Q&A session with Hollywood expert Sue Cameron. With a film career spanning four decades, Novak has appeared in dozens of films including Alfred Hitchcock’s psychological thriller “Vertigo” (1958), “Picnic” (1955), “The Man With the Golden Arm” (1955), “Bell, Book and Candle” (1958), and “Middle of the Night” (1959). In 2003, Novak received the prestigious Eastman Kodak Archives Award for her contribution to film.
