First look at renderings of new ship’s interior spaces

The upcoming Holland America Line ship, ms Koningsdam, is scheduled to join the fleet in February 2016, debuting a new era in design approach for the line.

Now, the line has revealed a first look at the fresh, contemporary interior design of the 2,650-guest ship, the first of the line’s Pinnacle Class.

The renderings are available to view on Holland America Line’s website. Designs focus on fluid curves and graceful lines, light-filled spaces, and the natural flow of public areas. The heart of the ship features a dramatic central atrium, soaring three decks high with an airy stainless-steel sculpture. The atrium is capped by a ceiling “skylight” that features projections of images such as wispy clouds, soothing light in water, and starlit constellations.

The main Dining Room will span two floors and have a bright interior framed by views of the sea. Other features include a reimagined Queen’s Lounge, an expanded two-level Magrodrome pool area, and more.
