CroisiEurope acquires Compagnie Fluviale du Mékong, gains 4 new ships
CroisiEurope, the Continent’s largest river cruise company, has announced the purchase of Mekong River cruise line Compagnie Fluviale du Mékong. Through this purchase, CroisiEurope will gain four new luxury colonial-style ships, outfitted in tropical hardwood.
The ships which will continue sailing their original itineraries between Cambodia and Vietnam – between Siem Reap and Saigon, via Phnom Penh – from August to April. Highlights of the cruises include:
- Discovering the Khmer temples at the site of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer Empire in Cambodia from the 9th to 15th centuries
- Visiting the bustling city of Saigon, the French-Colonial city of Phonom Penh and the local floating villages through the region
- Exploring Lake Tonle Sap and fish farms on the Mekong delta.
The family-run business is currently building two additional vessels in Vietnam.
