Become a Polar Hero! Special Sailing from Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten‘s dedication to exposing guests to wonderful destinations and the need to preserve them has inspired the cruise line to offer a special “Polar Heroes” expedition sailing along the Norway Coast.

Everything from the Northern Lights to climate change and outdoor experiences are up for discussion and enjoyment with renowned lecturers and expert expedition leaders on the cruise.

The special sailing onboard the MS Finnmarken offers escorted hikes and excursions, sit in lectures, and special activities such as ice dipping, meeting with local fishermen, and learning to tie marine knots.

The 12-day Bergen roundtrip voyage sails along Norway’s fjord-rich west coast, heading up the Arctic Circle to Kirkenes. The sailing visits an astonishing 34 ports of call, including 22 above the Arctic Circle.
