British supermodel icon will christen the river cruise line’s first two ships
On April 9, Twiggy will christen both the Emerald Sky and the Emerald Star, the first two vessels from the new river cruise line. However, this is not her first christening. In 2010, Twiggy christened the Seabourn Sojourn. A regular face in the fashion pages of swinging ‘60s London, Twiggy was known for her pencil-thin body and short, pixie-style hair.
The new ships are equally iconic. Both carry 182 passengers with 72 suites and 20 staterooms, plus two solo cabins. Onboard amenities include two restaurants, a heated swimming pool with a retractable roof; and cabins with an indoor balcony that have a drop-down panoramic window. The ships also feature an onboard hairdresser, massage therapy room, and fitness area.
