Set goals for your world cruise, from relaxation to adventure, then plan onboard activities and shore excursions accordingly.
Though not the first of its kind, the 180-Day World Odyssey from Oceania Cruises is giving the around-the-world cruise concept a new spin. The cruise line has unveiled the second edition of this exciting journey, scheduled to depart on July 8, 2015.

Cruisers will set sail out of Miami onboard the newly refurbished Insignia, a 684-guest luxury ship. Sailing north to New England and Canada, the itinerary continues across the Atlantic to Greenland and Iceland before heading on to Norway. Pushing on through the North Sea, Insignia will stop in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and England, then on to ports in France, Portugal, and Spain. From there, guests will be taken though the Mediterranean to visit spots in Italy, Greece, and Israel.

Insignia will reach the Suez Canal by mid-September, passing through the Red Sea on the way to Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Next up on the journey are Kenya, Cape Town, and Madagascar. Finally, the cruise will head to the Caribbean for some holiday cheer island-style, then conclude back in Miami on January 4, 2016 after taking in an astonishing 100 total ports of call.

Exclusive shore-side events will be offered for guests during the course of the cruise, such as a wine tasting and dinner in Bordeaux, France. Guests can also look forward to a day exploring the temples of Bagan in Myanmar, dining under the stars at Swakop River Canyon outside Namibia’s Walvis Bay, and many other unforgettable experiences.

Early booking fares begin at $44,999 per person, and reservations are currently open. Cruisers who reserve their suite or stateroom by March 31, 2014, are eligible to receive complimentary first-class roundtrip airfare, unlimited Internet, prepaid gratuities, free medical services, and other extras.
