A cruise is a great way to visit Myanmar, as tourism infrastructure is still building to reach growing demands.
With the ever-growing popularity of the river cruise market in Southeast Asia, Viking River Cruises is launching a new ship in the area to respond to customer demand. The new 30-room Viking Sagaing was specifically designed to cruise Myanmar’s Irrawaddy River, and will take to the waters in 2014.

Viking Sagaing is a handcrafted ship that was built in 2011 and offers all outside staterooms with river views. The ship will sail the 16-day Memories of Mandalay tour, which cruises roundtrip from Bangkok and includes stops such as the city of Mandalay and the former Burmese capitals of Amarapura and Ava. Guests will also spend two days each in Bangkok and Yangon.

Departure dates are available for booking through 2015 for the Memories of Mandalay cruise itinerary.
