The luxury bilingual line Compagnie du Ponant has introduced a new ship, Le Soleal, sailing a 2013-2014 winter season in Asia.

The 164-passenger Le Soleal launched in July 2013 with a series of polar expedition cruises. Now, the ship is offering 13 new itineraries in Asia, ranging from seven to 17 nights. Thanks to the ship’s smaller size, cruisers on Le Soleal’s itineraries will have access to ports larger ships cannot use, as well as unique experiences not found on most itineraries. Highlights of the itineraries include such stops as Vietnam’s imperial cities, Malaysia, Myanmar, the islands of Indonesia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Onboard, Le Soleal’s features include elegant, contemporary interiors designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel with works by marine photographer Philip Plisson. The ship offers 132 staterooms and suites, among which are 13 spacious suites on the elite Deck 6, which come with 24-hour butler service for added luxury.
