Hapag-Lloyd Caters to Families

Europa 2 offers fun activities and amenities geared toward family cruisers

On small or luxury lines, kids’ programs may be limited to certain seasons, with holidays and spring break as the peaks.
Travelers seeking a family-oriented cruise will want to consider Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Europa 2, where a host of accommodations and amenities are geared specifically toward families.

Children ages 11 and younger travel for free, making a family cruise all the more affordable. In addition, child care services are available for kids age 2 and older, allowing parents to have some relaxation time to themselves.

In 2014, families can sail on one of Hapag-Lloyd’s new cruises in Vietnam and Thailand. On the 13-day Vietnam – Between Red River and Mekong itinerary, travelers cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore and enjoy a variety of family-friendly onshore excursions. Options include trips to Vinpearl Land Water Park in Nha Trang, Vietnam and Kinbalu National Park in Kota Kinbalu, Malaysia.

The cruise, which sails February 12-27, offers onboard and onshore activities for all ages, such as canoeing and cooking classes. Kids can also participate in activities tailored to their age level: guided excursions for children ages 4-10 and 11-15 include zodiac trips, snorkeling, and more.
