An inside look at The Haven, Breakaway’s luxurious – and private – ship-within-a-ship
Home-ported in New York City, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Breakaway doesn’t actually spend much time there. The 3,969-passenger ship is busy making regular trips to Bermuda and the Caribbean – but we managed to step onboard for a tour of the ship’s most luxurious offering: The Haven, an exclusive enclave within the ship. Starting with priority boarding, guests of The Haven are truly given the VIP treatment. Met by their 24-hour butler, they are swept up to the 16th floor (via private elevator), where the ship’s most luxurious suites and a bevy of special, private areas are accessible only to those with the right key cards.
