Splash, Sunbathe and Relax at These At-Sea Pools

From Machu Picchu to Santiago, you can discover some of the most beautiful sights in the world on a cruise to South America. Several cruise ships that take you to remote locations and historic port cities around South America have fabulous pools and luxury amenities that can make your voyage that much more enjoyable. Here are some of our favorite at-sea pools for South America cruises.

Norwegian Star

Recently refurbished through The Norwegian Edge renovation program, the Norwegian Star offers a unique feature: an adults-only Spice H20 area where you can enjoy a private pool, lounge poolside with cocktails, and dance under the stars. In addition to the pool at Mandara Spa, you can soak up some sun on the oversized pool deck and enjoy views of the water from there. There’s also a whirlpool on the main deck, perfect for a little relaxation and stress relief along the way.

Silversea Silver Cloud Expedition

After undergoing a complete refurbishment and renovation in 2017, the Expedition is the perfect ship for enjoying some sun and the luxury life on board. The Silver Cloud’s pool deck includes bubbling whirlpools and plenty of space for enjoying the sun with views of the water from your chaise lounge.

Holland America MS Zaandam

One of the unique features about the MS Zaandam is the design is inspired by music culture so you’ll find artifacts and memorabilia from different genres across the ship. You can even take part in a musical production in the Mondriaan Show Lounge on board. Still, one of the highlights of the ship is the pool and spa. The pool area is enclosed with a large glass roof and you’ll find plenty of pool loungers to relax in nearby. The Greenhouse Spa & Salon also has a whirlpool and hydrotherapy pools where you can relax and unwind.
